Trust matters in recruitment. This policy explains what we collect, why we need it, and the choices you have when you share information with Hire DTC Talent.

Effective July 19, 2026Applies worldwide

01

Scope

This policy applies when you visit our website, ask us to help with a hire, submit or build a resume, join our talent network, apply for a role, refer someone, subscribe to updates, or otherwise contact Hire DTC Talent.

When we work for a client, we may also receive information about candidates from public professional sources, trusted referrals, and the candidate directly.

02

Information we collect

Information you provide

This may include your name, email address, company, role, location, professional history, resume, portfolio, LinkedIn profile, hiring needs, compensation details, preferences, and anything you choose to include in a message or form.

Information about another person

If you make a referral, we may receive the person's name, contact details, professional profile, and your comments about their work. Please only share information you are entitled to provide.

Information collected automatically

Our website and service providers may collect device and browser details, internet protocol address, pages viewed, approximate location, referral source, and interaction data through cookies and similar technologies.

Account and service information

If you use an account based feature, we may process login, profile, saved content, subscription, and service activity needed to provide that feature.

03

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to enquiries and arrange conversations
  • Understand hiring needs and deliver recruitment services
  • Assess, introduce, and support candidates through a process
  • Operate job alerts, talent communities, and resume tools
  • Manage referrals and communicate with the people involved
  • Improve our website, services, content, and user experience
  • Protect our services and prevent misuse or fraud
  • Meet legal, regulatory, and contractual responsibilities

We use information where it is necessary to provide a requested service, pursue our legitimate business interests, comply with law, or where you have given consent. You may withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis for processing.

04

When we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only when there is a clear reason to do so, including with:

  • Clients and prospective employers when considering a candidate for a relevant opportunity
  • Candidates when sharing information about a client, role, or recruitment process
  • Providers that support hosting, forms, email, analytics, authentication, databases, and other business operations, including Netlify and Google Analytics
  • Professional advisers, regulators, courts, or authorities when required or reasonably necessary
  • A buyer or successor if our business or assets are reorganised or transferred

We ask service providers to handle information only for the work they perform for us and to protect it appropriately.

05

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as it serves the purpose described in this policy, supports an ongoing relationship, or is needed for legal, accounting, security, or dispute requirements.

Retention periods vary by context. Candidate and client records may remain relevant for future opportunities, while unsuccessful enquiries and technical records may be removed sooner. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

06

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our use of your personal information. You may also have the right to receive a portable copy, withdraw consent, or complain to your local data protection authority.

You can unsubscribe from marketing or job updates using the link in the message. You can also manage cookies through your browser. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

To make a request, email us with enough detail to identify you and the information involved. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.

07

Security

We use reasonable organisational and technical measures designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee complete security, so please take care when choosing what to send electronically.

08

International use

Hire DTC Talent works with clients, candidates, and providers across several countries. Your information may therefore be processed outside the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

09

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the latest version began to apply. Material changes may also be highlighted on the website or shared directly where appropriate.
